In our communities there are many youth who do not have a safe place to go when things become difficult in their lives. They have no trusting adult of family member to turn to and are often easily victimized.
At Assurance Home, young people in need of help can find a safe environment where qualified and caring adults can offer a helping hand.
Our programs are designed to support youth and young adults as they strive to build more meaningful, successful lives.
Multi-Service Home:
The multi-service home program offered at Assurance Home provides a safe and stable place for young people, ages 13-17. Residents enjoy living in a tranquil environment and are supported by knowledgeable and caring staff. The special combination of love, guidance, and therapeutic support offered to the youth of Assurance Home has helped to create a well-respected and successful program.
Residents of the Multi-Service Home receive case management services tailored to each youth’s needs. These services include but are not limited to educational support, linkage to mental health services such as counseling and medication management, basic medical care, healthcare coordination, workforce development, community involvement, supervised recreational activities, and support in the development of essential life-skills.
Transitional Living for Young Adults (TLYA):
Our transitional living program offers young people the opportunity to believe in their own abilities and to reach within themselves to find the skills needed to be independent and successful. Participants, ages 16-23, are provided with the opportunity to pursue employment, education, and vocational goals in a safe and healthy environment. Our goal is to provide an environment that is realistic and provides the skills necessary to achieve independence. Some of the many program offerings include:
• 1 on 1 case management
• Semi-independent / Independent Housing
• Life-skills Workshops
• Allowance for Basic Needs, Clothing, Hygiene, and Personal Items
• Transportation
• Recreational Activates
• Support Staff Available 24/7
Mental Health Outpatient Program:
Assurance Home recognizes the growth and changes that can impact anyone at different stages in life. This is especially true of young people who are or have experienced adverse, traumatic events in the early years of life. To support and facilitate a lifetime of healing and prosperity, Assurance Home offers individual, group, and family mental health therapy with master’s Level therapists. These services are available to current and past residents of Assurance Home, as well as their families.
